Spring term at Eigenspace - Applications are open!
Increased cohort size so we can include more builders. Apply before Thursday April 6th, 2023!
We are excited to share that we have decided to make some changes to how we run our program so that we can include more people in a cohort. For the spring term we opening up our applications to any student or recent graduate from Waterloo (and WLU as requested) who is building something that they would like to turn into a company.
There is no fee or expectation of equity for joining Eigenspace.
Our program has undergone some adjustments and our focus remains on how we help students build successful companies. Some of the adjustments and we think about it:
You do not need to be on a co-op term to take the program. We welcome students on academic term and co-op.
Your entire team can attend the workshops. We want to build a community that includes all founders.
You don’t have to have it all figured out in four months. The term you enter our program does not have to be the term you incorporate your company, the term you enter Eigenspace is designed to help you build momentum appropriate to where you are now.
What will stay the same is that we offer a 12-week program that is primarily delivered remotely that provides education and mentorship with 2.5 hours a week (in total) of time you commit to showing up. We aim to offer a hybrid option for those that are in Waterloo for the term.
We are also excited to share our ongoing support to Socratica (a student lead group of builders, artists, and the generally curious) and we are committed to ensuring that there are additional opportunities for students to explore their ambition.
Finally, on the investment side, we are still planning on investing in early-stage companies that Waterloo graduates found. For companies that are interested, we will offer a $25 000 investment when you are ready.
Applications are open and we accept people as they apply — please be sure to apply before Saturday, April 8th.
