Simple way to use ChatGPT as a tool for founders
With some much information out there on how to do things and now ChatGPT is there to answer your questions, but you still need to inject human judgement.
There is a simple and powerful use of ChatGPT for founders, it helps you get started doing something. There are countless features coming out and integrations with Zapier, Teams, etc. But what most of those things do is get a repeatable task started.
Perhaps its most useful utility current AI will offer you is in helping you start something while removing the complexity that founders tend to insert and help you structure your thoughts in a purposeful way. It have potential to give you more time to think and have that thought directed at the outcome you are trying to achieve.
An example, starting with a sales script for HR software.
This is a good start. You can insert your own pitch into this and make some modifications.
This is where the tool can start to help you think about your sales call more is when you do something like ask for it to incorporate more potential objections. Be specific, ask for two more and it adds the following.
From there you can keep interacting and working on how you want to structure the call.
Instead of spending time setting up a template and considering a bunch of things from scratch, you start to think about the questions you need to ask what is missing from the response.
It does require you have some idea of what the output should look like. As Nigel pointed out to me:
Realize that ChatGPT is a Large Language Model that predicts words (tokens) but does not refer to or reference original source material dynamically on the internet. It is a statistical word prediction system. It can as a result just "make stuff up".
This is where the promise and the potential meet the need to insert human judgement into the process. The new AI tools are indeed powerful but for founders you can quickly get lost in perfecting the questions to get the perfect response.
